Field Trip to the Axiom Gallery.
This art gallery was nothing like I was expecting! When you think of an art gallery you think of silence and typical art... so the first thing to throw me off was that the gallery was located in the train station and you could hear the periodic rumblings from the trains. Also the art that was being exhibited was NOTHING like the ordinary art you would you would see in an art gallery. What separated typical art from this exhibit was that it wasn't just hanging on the wall, you interacted with the piece and listened to the music that was playing. With one piece in particular, you created the art by interacting with it by changing the faces and phrases. Another thing that set this art apart was that the art was created by typical 'artists', the entire exhibit was created by people with a background in engineering rather than art. I think by sharing a similar background we could understand the pieces more than we can a traditional artwork.
