Would You?

In class, we were discussing the article 'Will Robots control the Earth' by an MIT professor. Our discussion brought us the controversial ideas of changing a child's characteristics before they are fully developed. Would you want to have a child with green eyes? ... or maybe brown? How can you choose the 'right' features for your child to have? How do you know that the choices you have made are the right ones? Another thing you can change about a child before they are fully developed is preventing diseases such as autism. I believe in changing something that will better the life of your child, such as preventing autism, but changing the color of their eyes or hair is so minor, you should be able to love your child no matter what.
